Berkeley Lab staff often aren’t aware of the breadth of development and training that is available to them—in many cases free of charge. From from technical training to development of managers and leaders – training may be in a classroom, a conference setting, face-to-face, online, or customized for you.
Kia Afcari – Manager, Learning & Organizational Development
Kia is a certified coach and learning & organizational development practitioner focused on helping people and organizations succeed. He has worked with leaders and organizations nationally and internationally on topics such as leadership effectiveness, change enablement, the Growth Mindset, diversity-equity-inclusion, culture change, innovation, mindfulness, and management skills.
Dave Nguyen – Instructional Designer & Learning Management System Administrator
As a staff member of the L & OD team, Dave assists with e-course design and system administration for the UC learning center; the training system of record for the UC system.
Christina Lonzisero – Talent Assistant, Human Resources
As a staff member of the Talent team, Christina assists with planning and logistical support for recruiting as well as staff learning programs. She has prior experience working in Engineering and Physical Sciences HR field offices at LBL.
