Despite the constantly evolving and often challenging environment, Human Resources continues to recruit, hire, and onboard new hires. The process will vary for each employee, depending upon several individual circumstances.
Some parts of the onboarding process will be virtual or remote, and some will need to be in person. Just as supervisors need to ensure that their new hire has access to tools to complete their work remotely if appropriate, they should also ensure that their new hire has personal electronic means to support the onboarding process. This includes asking the new hire to ensure that they check their Spam folder in their email to validate that important communications from the Lab were not missed, as much of the onboarding process involves time sensitive steps
