Here is a general, high-level overview of the steps that take place in order for you to become an Affiliate at the lab:
- Your host will provide your name and email to the HR Shared Services office.
- You will receive an email asking you to complete an application for the Affiliate appointment.
- After you have submitted your application, you will receive follow up electronic tasks for completion. Some subsequent conditional tasks may also need to be completed by the Host and other parties at the Berkeley Lab (such as a Visa or FVA review).
- When all tasks have been completed, HR Shared Services will hire you into the HR system and a welcome email/site access letter will be sent to you.
