The Onboarding Governance Team spearheads the continuous improvement of the informational resources that welcome new staff to Berkeley Lab. Rather than managing individual daily paperwork, this cross-functional team serves as the behind-the-scenes editors of the onboarding framework. Meeting quarterly, representatives from diverse departments collaborate to systematically review and refresh essential tools, including the Supervisor Toolkit, the Know Before You Go Checklist, and specialized onboarder highlights.
Because the team leverages expertise from across the entire organization, they ensure that welcoming materials reflect collective institutional needs. Their work fosters a more connected and supportive environment, providing new team members with the essential resources to navigate their initial weeks with confidence and acclimate smoothly to their roles.
