The Project Board is a new tool that serves to bridge staff to temporary projects and work assignments within Berkeley Lab.
Supervisors and their designees will be able to post temporary work assignments to the Project Board, enabling employees to view and apply for these opportunities. Project Board also allows employees to notify supervisors and managers of their temporary availability to work on projects.
Project Board offers the opportunity to:
-
Match timely work and project needs with available staff.
-
Help with continuity of work and pay for employees impacted by circumstances that result in reduction of time (e.g., exhausted administrative leave for emergencies).
-
Provide cross-functional skill development with multi-disciplinary teams.
